ASSET Scholarships 2018

The Suffolk ASSET 2018 Scholarship Application is open! 

We at ASSET, Association of Suffolk Supervisors for Educational Technology, offer $2,000 scholarships per year to 10-12 deserving students who will be entering into higher education and studying fields that integrate technology.  The scholarships will be presented to students at our annual luncheon held at Captain Bill's in Bay Shore on May 24, 2018 beginning at 12:00pm.  School personnel and family members are invited and welcome to attend.

For the 2018 Scholarship, we have changed our criteria and scoring rubric. Students are encouraged to produce and submit a digital project, which highlights their current use of technology and their vision for future technology integration.

Our application is now available online at:  Scholarship Application  and the due date is APRIL 13, 2018 for all materials to be submitted.

The Scholarship Awards Luncheon will be held at Captain Bills on Thursday, May 24th beginning at 12:00pm.

Student Requirements:

  1. Digital Submission: this can include an Video, Essay or Online Presentation

    1. Each digital submission must includes the following:

      1. Your experiences with technology that are especially interesting or helpful to your future plans.

      2. Explain in detail your vision or aspirations of technology use

      3. How you plan on using technology in your future occupation

  1. Extra Curricular Activities

    1. List and upload your extra- and co-curricular school activities, community and/or volunteer activities with dates of participation.
